Alright here it is.  The official thread for nominating what you believe the best transformer mold of all time is.  Any generation is open.  If you want to put in a brief snippet of why you think the mold you nominated is worthy of the top seat, go right ahead.

 

We will collect all the nominations over the next 5 days and then the 3 judges will evaluate them according to the criteria you yourself set forth in the previous thread Criteria  Once the evaluations are done and 3 Bots rise to the top, we will put those 3 bots out to the forum for you to vote yourselves on the single best Transformer Toy ever made.

You know Masterpiece Convoy/20th Anniversary Optimus Prime is gonna win this, right?  Even so, I nominate him. :thumb

I nominate Liger Jack.  He has no revealable kibble per se.  His tail is the weapon. His head folds down and is not even visible in beast mode.  His hands and feet are the feet of beast mode, and his Force Chip claws are blended in quite well.  His paint job has no missing paint apps as far as I can tell, and he's extremely show accurate.  I give the button roar a plus when the batteries are in.  Posability is a little low, but other than that, he's probably by far the best of the GF/Cybertron line that I have so far.

i nominate alternator smokescreen, his presence regenerated manys interest in the transformers line and shows why we love the alternator line

my top five (no particular order):

 

A-Unicron = It's the chaos bringer! What better reson is there?

 

Alt-Smokescreen = First Alternator, and maybe still the best, through detail, articulation & Transformation into a REAL vehical.

 

MP1- Convoy = Takara/Hasbro's fineist achievement

 

RID-Omega Prime = The outcome of the two outstanding RID figures: Optimus Prime  & Ultra Magnus

 

E-Starscream/C-Starcream = still undisided,  but both theses Figures are the highlights of the Energon/Cypertron line-through Articulation, Transformation, Colour schemes; And of couse, how they are influnced by the "War Within" Starscream.

Armada Wheeljack.  He's decently posable, only real 'kibble' would be the doors/wings which can be folded down and un'kibbled' if you don't like them...and I really like the effect of the slashed out Autobot symbol that gives him an almost anti-paladin feel.

(RID Omega Prime does not qualify because he is a combination between two figures.  Just the same as why no Combiners can be considered.  They are not a Transformer Mold, but a combination of many.  Although in the future we could always have a "Best Ever Combiner" award as well.  But for now...just individual toys.)
