AFA triple whammy!

Recommended Posts

A fine Takara reissue of Prowl can be had for so much less.

Wow AFA is dumb if they think rub-signs came out in 1984.

Actually they did.

I have an MISB Soundwave with rubsign that's dated 1984 on the box.

Its more a matter of which series the piece belonged to.

Series 1  =  No Rub Sign

Series 2 = Rub Sign

Both were released in 1984...

However there weren't many. A 1984 Rubsign piece is pretty rare, most as is commonly believed were released 1985 and later.

Cheers!

Nope. Rubsign toys came in boxes marked "1984" but were actually released in 1985. So in 1985, the second series of toys came out, as well as all the 1984 stuff again but with a rub sign.

It is kinda like how Beast Machines Megatron's box says it came out in 1999 but the toy didn't.  :tfhuh

And the Canadian Transmetals toys have a copyright date on them that is 1996, which is odd because they didn't come out in the US until 1997 (and are marked as such)

Ok, FINE! :)

The box still SAYS 1984 though...

Smile...
