That lot is not worth what he's asking, regaqrdless of the shipping cost.  The only really rare thing is the G1 Magnus.

I'm not even sure it's G1. It could be a reissue.

It's got the flap and the foam, it's G1. However, the $400 set price is outrageous and the shipping is almost like a guarantee that no one will buy this.

Does it make a difference? I know that sellers can tack on fixed S&H fees or a a % for S&H to the final auction price but does ebay counteract that to bump up the final value fee?

I mean in the end...higher shipping costs given upfront means that the auction will just sell for a lower final value. You're probably paying either less than you would if shipping wasn't hiked up or about the same.

I hope eBay one day makes the shipping calculator mandatory. That way it would be easier for them to track actual shipping costs and hopefully be able to add the amount the seller overcharges to the final value fee.

Eventually Ebay will catch on to this, and when they finally do (if they haven't already) then who do you think will end up paying for that loss?

YEP! Those of us who sell our products honestly will! Ebay will end up raising their insertion and final total fee's to compensate for money they lose because of these jagbags!

eBay actually watching for the people who jack up shipping? That'll happen :P
