What I meant was that Wheeljack's eyes are still not fixed, even after so much work.

i agree, amazing work there, but i agree with me_grimlock too. u gotta let go of the G1 colours with this story, these are human created cars in this story, the autobots didn't get to choose, they were put where there was space so to speak. a for instance  was every one complaining bout prowls new bod, ok maybe not as good, but the story will give a reason y he was put into this bod. Some people need to accept the new story and the new bods, i think these are great new line and i have no complaints to the TF's :tfhuh

i actually do like the realistic idea of these alternators and am not into "the g1 look" but hey, you did a good job so why cant we all just get along?

Enter the age old argument:

 

Binaltechs have a story, which ties the line to G1 as well as BW.  Keep in mind that in Japan, there is only one continuity.  ALL TF lines are connected in Japan.  BT just happens to take place during the time frame of G1.  (Unless I'm mistaken, that is.)

 

Alternators are transformers that turn into highly detailed 1:24 scale replicas of real, liscensed vehicles.  That's it.  No story, not even a one paragraph blurb like on the Universe packaging.  They're not supposed to be G1 any more than Energon is.  That being said... like Energon, the line has given us a ton of G1 homages, for which I am thankful.

 

I am a G1 fan, and I love the G1 repaints, BTW.  And, while I don't particularly agree with some of the color choices made by Hasbro/Takara, I am merely one end consumer in a sea of toy buyers, so it's really not my place to say what's "right" or "wrong" for an Alternator's color scheme.  Do I like the blue stripes on Wheeljack?  No.  Do I think the red and green looks any better?  No.  In fact, as much as I hate to say it, I think in the case of Wheeljack, the G1 colors actually look worse.  (BTW, I hate all racing stripes on all cars, so I am negatively biased on this subject...)  However, both the repro labels sticker set and the many custom repainted versions are displays of great talent, and if I ever find another Wheeljack in stores on a day I happen to have an extra $20, I'll probably pick him up and get the repro labels for him, because they do look neat.  Not better than the blue, but neat in thier own respect. 

 

So basically, if you like them, great, if not, that's your perogative.  You know what they say about opinions...  :wave
