- Alternators Optimus Prime [MISB, from eBay]

Why supposedly, might you ask?

- Alt Prime: came with 2 left hands.

- Alt Mirage: the glue that Hasbro used to glue his seats down seeped over onto the side panels that fold over his "belly". When I folded them over (after using a bit of force), the lower section of the hinge snapped. Doesn't particularly affect transformation or anything, though, but it's still thoroughly annoying. Also, like 80% of the car-panel joints are WAY too loose...

 

So what was supposed to be a totally AMAZING haul turned out to be... kinda disappointing...

Nah, I doubt the seller would do anything, seeing as how the figure was MISB when he shipped them out.

The GOOD news (at least for Alt Prime) is that:

a) I have 2 more Alt Primes coming in the mail from another eBay seller (I bid on like 2-3 Primes, and left the house, and won multiple auctions...)

b) Prime's hand seems to be identical to the RX-8 and Subaru hands, with a smaller ball-joint. I have a spare Alt Shockwave I'm gonna use for a kitbash, so his laser hand (normally on the left arm) is probably gonna jump over to his right arm (so I'll have a right hand to repaint for Prime, and the extra left hand will go on Shockwave).

The Vector Prime verses Starscream 2 pack :clap Yay me!

Some of the cool stuff I got recently...

 

-G1 Road Caesar : you guys already know how much I love that combiner... Brainmasters rock.

 

-BW10th Optimus Primal : I love that one... Borrows a bit of the original Primal (colors), TM Primal (surfboard) and BM Primal (transformation... vaguely). The new headsculpt is awesome, it looks like a young Primal.

 

-BW10th Megatron : excellent update despite the long legs in bot mode. Looks meaner than the original. Weird placement for the gimmick though!

 

-Brave Super Guardian : totally awesome combiner (police car + ambulance + fire truck + jet). Each vehicle does a robot and super mode with some armor pack/new head. The first 3 combine to do a super bot, and then you can add the jet (a bit à la Victory Leo with Star Saber) to make a super super bot. I'm amazed at the lever of complexity. They might look a bit childish, but they sure top most of the G1 combiners. The big bot is rock solid and quite decently poseable too (head turns, some shoulder and elbow movement, hips and knees).

 

-Brave King Exkizer : had the Masterpiece, had to have the original. This one is actually the reissue, but it's oh so nice. It's car that haul a trailer. Car turns into a robot (quite decently articulated), and it can combine with the trailer for a super bot mode (you insert the smaller robot in the chest of the bigger one to reveal the super mode face). Sorta of a cross between Hot Rod (car), Ultra Magnus (trailer that combines) and Star Saber (Breastmaster/Brainmaster). Trying to track down the original Dragon Kizer to combine now.

 

-Macross VF-1J Super Valkyrie + Maximilian Jenius : OMFG. I was so disapointed with the Elintseeker's transformation, I thought I would never touch a Macross again. But I had the opportunity to trade back my Webdiver figures and some cash for that one, so I decided to give it a go. The blue looked so nice, I couldn't resist. Simple put : insane. Transformation is mindblowing, tons of accessories and features. That will be my only Macross jet but I think I got the perfect one now.
