PS- Magnus only went down in one shot for the same reason others in the movine did. Plot conveneince/bad writing. Brawn (who pwns all) took direct hits from Megatron plenty of imes before. But in order to eliminate some older characters and see new ones, they made it easy.

Magnus was detroyed in one shot because originally he was animated to have been lassoed by the four sweeps (one per limb), then Galvatron ordered him to be quartered,  and he was pulled in 4 directions. After being animated it was deemed too violent and the second version was cut in of him being shot and exploding.

In the comic adaptation he is quartered.

In the movie, the matrix falls into Galvatron's hands as if Magnus was detroyed above him, the way he originally was when being quartered.

Ah, I stand corrected. It would've been cool if they put that scene as an extra...or even spliced it back into the movie for teh "Direct0rz Cut"...heh heh...

Another reason Springer is better than all the other post-movie autobots....

....He got the girl.  The only G1 Fembot to have a re-accuring/main character and Springer gets her.

He pwned them all.

*Points to Minerva*

Ultra Magnus - Pwned in one shot.

but he didn't get vaperized like starscream either

One - who's Minerva?

Two - BoB, Star Wars has almost nothing to do with TF, except that the people promoting the movie said it's in the tradition of Star Wars and whatnot. I see no validity in your comparisons, as those characters are almost nothing like one another.

Actually, they are, if you look at it from a plot structure perspective.  There are certain character types associated with the "epic story" plot.  Hot Rod/Rodimus and Arcee fit into two of them.  The Springer=Han Solo idea is a bit of a reach IMO but it is plausible.

Tell that to Arcee's hair Buns

Minerva

Yet she was NOTHING LIKE THE CHARACTER OF LEIA.

And must you ALWAYS bring irrelevant stuff from the Japanese shows into discussions? Minerva is the Roman war goddess, NOT A ROBOT!

Heh heh

Arcee has a charector?

Minerva is a female godess of Medison

Minerva the TF transforms into am Ambulance-HOW FITTING!

it is relevent becuse Bainreese said that Arcee was the only G1 Female transformer with a reacouring role, Minerva also had a reacouring role.

US GEEWUN, BOOB, US GEEWUN.

Minerva is the GODDESS OF ARTS, WAR, ETC.

Roman gods were basically copied right from Greek gods with few, if any, changes to what they were gods of.

EDIT - Minerva = ATHENA.

Oi.
