So, after watching Season 3 of Beast Wars last night, a couple of thoughts entered my mind. I apologize if these have been asked before, but I didn't see them so I figgered I'd put them here.

 

BEWARE: IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED WATCHING SEASON 3 THEN I SUGGEST NOT READING THIS THREAD--OR AT LEAST NOT BLAME ME FOR THE SPOILERS WITHIN.

 

1.) How did G1 Megatron get his spark back? I realize the whole idea of G1 bots having sparks was retcon, but at the very least they could have followed through on it. I don't ever remember seeing BW Megatron re-eenter the Ark and replace the G1 spark into Megs' body, so how did he get it back? Or how did G1 Megs operate without a spark?

 

2.) Since Tigerhawk was created from the fusion of Tigatron and Airrazor, then later infused with their combined spark, wouldn't that make him the first transgender Transformer? Seriously, if the creators actually went through and gave the characters identifiable genders and accents and whatnot, wouldn't that be the next step?

 

3.) When did Rampage get his spark reinstalled? In "Nemesis, Part 1" Depthcharge cuts his chest open and reveals his spark, then drives a raw Energon spike through it, causing both of their deaths. But Megatron had Rampage's spark inside that torture squeezetoy thingy ever since he "recruited" him to the Predacons. Did he just suddenly decide that he was fine on his own?

 

4.) Wouldn't Ravage's death in the past have triggered a time storm like when G1 Optimus got his head blown up? Think about it--Ravage goes back in time and arrives on Earth before he was activated, then gets destroyed before he comes on-line. Shouldn't that be a time infraction of some sort?

 

5) OK, last one: Remember all those stasis pods laying around after the Vok triggered their moon-gun? I know like 9/10th of them were damaged beyond repair, but what of the handful that weren't? Silverbolt, Quickstrike, Rampage and TM2 Dinobot couldn't have represented the entire surviving population of protoforms, could they?

1. There's a scene where Optimus puts Megs' spark back at the end of the show. They had to cut the scene b/c of time constraints.

 

2. Tigerhawk was a hermaphrodite. :P

 

3. Rampage's spark was cut in half by Megatron. Half of it remained in Rampage and the other half was put in that energon squeeze box, later to be given to TM2 Dinobot.

 

4. Ravage's body was still in the Ark at that time with all the other G1 guys. It was only his future self that got killed.

 

5. "Yes". :P There weren't *that* many. Then again, it allows you to go back and tell stories about the other protoforms, like DW was gonna do before they folded.

Can answer a few of these..

 

1 - It was returned at the end of Beast wars, but the scene had to be cut. I think bwtf.com still has the removed cutscene someplace.

 

2 - Not sure if that's more of an opinion or a question. TH is more like an it if anything. Techincally to me, he seems more like a transmetal fuzor if anything.

 

3 - Rampage had half his spark removed when Megatron first got to him. One for his vice, the other for Rampage..

 

4 - Ravage's death wouldn't of triggered anything because it's techincally future ravage. If you were to find the original ark ravage and blow that up, yeah that would be cause of a time storm. If you went back in time and were killed, it wouldn't effect the entire past because it's a time frame that you, future you, aren't native to. Aside from breaching a hole in time, the normal laws of nature still apply. :tfgrin

 

5 - Really, it's all about money here.. making 3d models isn't very cheap, which is why we really didn't see to many characters.. espically in those times when 3d animation was still coming to maturity. So saying they got wasted in the moon gun is an easy excuse.

rampage was killed by depthcharge (we presume) at the end of beast wars that is why dinobot started freaking out and managed to get his old personallity. (taking the tale "dark glass" into account) with rampage destroyed the ruling influence was withdrawn from him (that would explain the pain) leaving the personallity uploaded by ratrap (or rhinox, i can't remember) in full control of the body.
