Yes, they were an alien race that became binary bonded to the Transformers creating the HeadMaster, TargetMasters, and PowerMasters.

In the TV series they were green skinned. In the comic, same as humans.

dont forget the different costumes. In the comic cover of HM 1, they actually had helmets...

so, let me get this strait. the toy versions of the headmaster/targetmaster/powermaster companions are designed to fold and bend in completely inhuman ways, yet, they're portrayed as being organic in both the japanese and american cartoons?

The nebulans are known throughout the universe for their mastery in the art of self pleasure... They have no problem folding completely in half

funn13>

They're ALIENS so they can do all kinds of different stuff that earth people can't do...........

.....like fold their legs backwards and stuff....

ya know, it is kinda icky.

Although Jinrai had it worse than any of those guys.

Actually, in the G1 comics the TFs and Nebulans worked together to "reengineer" the Nebulans bone structures, and other body systems to be able to transform.

They were originally unable to twist and turn in such ways.

Later this same "operation" is performed on Spike Witwicky when he takes control of (is binary bonded to) Fort Max.

Also in the comics the Nebulans are often referred to as Humans by the TFs and they never seem to disagree (probably just bad writing).

In the show they didn't bend, the robot exoskeleton turned into a control room where the Nebulans sat in chairs in front of a large screen.
