Personally, I think this is one of the only (if not *the* only) Universe repaints that actually looks better than the original. That being said, it's still a very lame figure IMO. Not hard to figure out why he wasn't used in the show.

The legs suck and you can't get rid of the huge triple rocket launcher that stick straight out from his chest.

Exactly MH.  I bought him on impulse because I think the alt mode with the stripes is a nice look.  But when I got him home, opened him up and transformed it to bot mode...that was when I remembered what sucked about the first mold.

had him in my hands last night at target.  Loved the look of the alt mode with the skull and all.  Then I remembered beast machines blastcharge and what a piece of crap it looked like.  Glad I saved my money.  Looks like he had some viagra and it got stuck in his chest.

Just leave him in his alt mode. It looks pretty damn cool.

Seeing how I did not have the mold I wanted to purchase it but JRSToyworld was sold out. Guess that was a good thing.

 

Now I spent that money on G2 Megatron which I won via eBay. It is loose and I do not know if the sounds work but I would guess so. (Own an old G1 Galvatron which has seen better days but the sounds still work. Paid just $3.00 for it.  :clap )

 

Megatron will cost me around $30 give or take. But I am sure he is worth it.

 

Then again every Transformer is worth it if he is cheap enough. Went to the flea market today and picked up a knockoff Dreadwind for 70 cents and a G1 Quickmix (missing Targetmaster partners) for 30 cents.

 

That really made my day.  :clap  Quikmix is not a great figure but for that price I like him. And he is another Transformer to add to the "Transformers count.)  :tflaugh 

 

Dreadwing only has 2 colors so he looks pretty bad but made of strong plastic. Sadly missing the engine and weapons but I had not picked up Quickmix at the time and thought I should at least bring something home.

 

The lady who was sellling him asked 1 Euro for him but no way am I going to spend one whole Euro on a knockoff. So I offered 50 cents which is about 70 Dollar cents.  :tfevil

 

Oh, if anyone needs a replacement arm for G2 Clench, send me a message. I picked up a badly damaged Clench body along with Quickmix. Figured that even though it is "scrap" 30 cents was managable.

 

Besides, seeing I would not have minded to pay one whole Euro for Quickmix I could stand to pay 60 for him and what is left of poor Clench. His tech specs say he is really though but I guess they were wrong.  :tfsad

I've seen him. I just can't get past the 'Missles in My Chest' bit.
