children tend to have impressionable minds. if they have a good experience with something while they are a kid, chances are that it will affect their attitude towards that thing for their entire lives.

Branding - It's what most of our television ads (and afternoon cartoons) are designed for. Hook a kid, and you'll have them for life. kind of a double meaning.

Worked for me. I'm still hooked on the TF brand, if not on the initial series that drew me in.

If we're talking about the new movie, I go for the tank all the way. Since he cannot be a gun, I don't want him to be ANYTHING else!  :tfmad

I had to go with the gun because it was the original, and they are the best compared to any of the new crap!

Third: Jumbo Jet...? :wtf Um... okie.... If you mean gunship or heavy artillery aircraft, a la Energon Megs then I suppose I understand.

 

Fourth: T-RECKS, oh man....... :tfsad Just go gurgle in a toilet ASAP. That's... that's the sort of spelling error that drives me to drinking. :cheers

 

Fifth: Obscure alt mode known only to X-bob, while pestering X-bob in kind is a forum-wide pastime... IN JEST... you're taking it to degrees that are unncessary. :roll Lay off 'im. Either correct him and move on, or ignore his "insert japanese continuity here" nonsense and continue the discussion with everyone else until he decides to get back on topic. Get over it.

I can't believe I'M the one saying this, but he's not that bad a guy and having someone with such a vast library of Jap TF knowledge is helpful at times (albeit a "someone" with criminally bad spelling...). You just need a maturity level that goes past the fifth grade to deal with him. :D The guy is already a forum-wide punching bag and no one deserves that, stop making it worse for him in order to try and take the heat off yourself. Tone it down before you become the next punching bag or worse yet, banned.

 

That said, I recall Megtron already being slated to be a tank as that has been his generally franchise-wide recognizable and acceptable alt-mode in lieu of the fact that the mass-shifting Walther P-38 is just not useable anymore.

What does his gun mode have to do with the "G1 story"? Besides, WHICH "G1 story" exactly? Cartoon? Marvel comic? Dreamwave comic?

OK then, time for some clarifications.

 

Tekyu, I MISSPELLED THOSE NAMES ON PURPOSE. You seriously thought I was spelling them incorrectly? Those are the commonly (and purposefully) mistyped names of his various modes. So I do know how to spell, for crying out loud. And talk about overreacting...I'm allowed to mock X-BoB because I don't like the guy. Have a problem with that? Deal.
