rodimus prime

Recommended Posts

I just got the reissue rodimus prime, i never had him as an original . What a bad toy . He looks nothing like the cartoon . His legs look like they are suppose to bend at the knee but dont. He looks better as hot rod I think(toy and cartoon). I dont know maybe im still pissed that he was primes replacement . What do you guys think?

Hes a brick, usless as they come but im a completist and must bow down to owning one...

but i loved his design inn the movie/cartoon

No interest. At all.

I'd like to have some version of the character, but I'll wait for the Targetmaster Hot Rod reissue from Takara.

I have a Japanese reissued Rodimus Prime released a few years ago. Rodimus Prime was one of my favourite characters, though the toy is somewhat lacking. I love the vehicle mode though. Last year I got the TRU Reissue Hot Rod (Rodimus Major) to display alongside of my Rodimus Prime.

Rodimus was always my favorite as a kid so I was never thought bad about the toy. I just picked up the re-issue and I see what you're saying he's got a lot of weak points. Still I love the character and he'll always be my favorite Prime... Gotta love nostalgia.

As a kid, you expect any G1 toy to be like a brick. As an adult you want more. I think the toy is lacking but so is much of G1. As a character, he is my favorite character.

I still have my original Rodimus Prime. The winnebago is a great vehicle, and the robot looks good. The huge cannon in the back of the camper is great. But he does need more leg articulation, and there really was no reason not to give him more (except perhaps stability) since the legs aren't involved in the transformation. They just sit under the camper.

He's a nice figure, but stiff. :tftongue

I'll just state that he is slightly different from the original in his arms and the Diecast content in his legs. Still a so-so toy. On the plus side, it still has the die-cast feet and rubber tires.

When I saw the episode with Rodimus (and read the comic adaption of the movie) I wanted Rodimus Prime as the leader of my Autobots. However, even though he was officially released in the Netherlands I've never seen him until a few years ago.

It was such a dissapointment!

I don't really mind him being a brick, but he just looks wrong. He's rather ugly and way too small. He's supposed to fight Galvatron? No wonder Galvatron beat him up in the UK comics.

No, don't like and will never buy him (unless I can get him really really really cheap).
