Pat Lee's Dark Legacy Continues...

Recommended Posts

I was chatting with one of DW's former employees and here's what he had to share with me:

"Just when you thought you're just about to get up from a tremendous fall, you get kicked back down again, courtesy of ol' Superstah himself.

As you know, he stiffed me for thousands or so dollars and I just bit my lip. "que sera-sera" I always say. but then he also stiffed a bunch of companies. specifically Fed-ex.

Since I send out my work (for DW) up north, using their account ofcourse, I am now getting billed by Fed-ex for DW's unpaid account. And I cant do anything about it since the freakin' fine print says "ultimately, the sender is held responsible for payment"

#%@$, ah well...I still hope for some kind of miracle after all this, I could have sworn I would have hit bottom by now and be able to bounce back up, I guess the well Pat dug was deeper than I thought.

anyway, sorry for venting dude"

Yep. When I asked him if Pat ever offered to take care of the bill since, he said he agreed to do so...months ago. FedEx sent collection letters and threatened legal intervention if the the bills weren't paid. Not a word from Pat Lee. Not even a peep. Unfortunately, this DW employee ended up paying the bill from his own pocket! Pat's legacy of dishonesty and selfishness continues.

Pat. You should be ashamed. If you can't pay what people are owed, at least pay your own damn bills.

So....basically, the only reason you posted this thing, is to take a stab at Pat Lee, bashing him, for no other purpose than fulfilling some need for attention you have?

I mean, even if Pat Lee is such a bad person (Which I doubt: people like things to be black-white, but it sure ain't working that way in real life. Yaknow, life outside the computer) then this would still be something between that particular former Dreamwave employee and Pat Lee himself. No need to drag it out in the open.

As far as I'm concerned, this is nothing more than a sad cry for attention. Topic's done, over and closed. Deal with it.

Cry for attention?    :tflaugh    That's rich.

Anyway, it's your call.    If you don't feel its appropriate for the board, then let the discussion of it end here and now. Any others who feel it worthy of banter can visit Seibertron.com, tfarchive.com, tfw2005.com, or transfandom.com.

I feel for the artist.. but, ya know, echoing this here seems more like airing out dirty laundry than really much of a contribution. :S

Yes, Pat is a dirty SOB when it comes to his business practices.... so how is this considered News?

as anoying as this is its not realy TF news mabye a move to the comic area rather then a  :lock

check out Guidos post in the TFW thread, now thats straight from the horses mouth.  To be honest I consider this news as I never knew that ex-dreamwave employees were having to pay off parts of DW debt.  I wonder what other surprises may be in store?

Seems newsworthy enough to me. It's an update of old news. It seems Dreamwave just keeps turning the screws on some people.

Having other people who you owe money to, paying off your debts, is just the lowest thing they could do. Hey Pat, why don't Transufomah! their moms while your at it?

Just for anybody who is too lazy too click...

Me too I had to pay for DW unpaid FedEx bills.

Just a few days ago I called FedEx in order to know WHY, and as already explained on the first post above, the sender is the final responsible of every shipping (in case the receiver will refuse to pay the bills) and just a few hours ago I got another solicitation letter and finally I had to pay.

What a great way to close a business: not only we won't get paid, but we have to paid part of their debts too.

I wonder how many other former DW guys will receive those FedEx bills...

And no, we can't refuse to pay as they did.

I always played nice on everything DW, but now I'm really sick of everything.
