I started thinking about that when I started buying RID figures. I probably have 60% of them, not including the thousands of repaints out there. They are almost all in the box, 'cept for Optimus, Magnus, and a few others. I got pretty guilty not opening them, seeing that I spent a @#$%load of cash on them. That is the only series that I have still in mint condition. MY G1 toys though, their condition is something I rather not speak(or type) of.

I keep all packaging, but then again, you kind of have to if it's misb :thumb

I only save the outerbox and I use the bigger boxes to store the smaller ones and the cards.

If I open a carded figure I throw out the bubble and keep the card and instructions. For boxed figures I throw out any plastic and flatten the box and store it in a rubbermaid container.

If you want to save the card just use a sharp/xacto knife to cut the bubble off.

i keep the outerbox and instructions thats it. don't care about the outer box

It depends on the product. G1, I'll keep the box and packing. It's easy storage. If it's Energon or the likes, I chuck the box, keep the instructions.

I keep it all now, but as a kid I didn't care (wish I had)

lately i'e taken to cutting off the blister bubbles, and keeping the cardbacks inside the boxes of the bigger figs [my primal prime box is home to all my bw, bm, rid, armada and energon cardbacks]. i keep all the inserts [instructions, catalogs, character/art cards/stickers, whatever] in a separate container.

i usually throw away the boxes and such, but some of them come back to haunt me when i try to sell them and such
