Artificial vs. Actual Intelligence

Recommended Posts

Terrorcons are the Resurected population of PLanet Q, Alpha Q has litlerly a Planet of cannon fodder.

i wouldn't put too much faith into the cartoon on that matter. unicron blowing up a planet full of squishies probably would have been too voilent for hasbro's tastes.

Would Sharkticons be considered to have spark cores? They were basically cannon fodder. Better still...the Insecticons cloned themselves...but I think they clones were literally just carbon copies that served their respective Insecticon creators and had no self-awareness or sparks.

Insecticon Clones back in the day, were just copies. They had just enough intelligence to take commands from the original Insecticons. (Think less intelligent than Transmutate from BW Season Two.)

Really? Seems like a waste to imbue a cannon fodder-ish drone with a spark.

The Terrorcons don't have sparks. They weren't even originally TFs, they were from Alpha Q's home planet, and no one had sparks there that I'm aware of. Even if they did, Unicron duplicated their bodies without their original spark/whatever they had(correct me if I'm wrong, somebody. I swore that I read this info many times here on this message board)

On topic, AI is ARTIFICIAL. That means that it's made by another being to copy natural int. It doesn't determine whether the being has awareness or not. With enough technology, a race could make an AI that is EXACTLY like our own inteligence, but it would still be AI. Some creatures on earth aren't aware of their existance, and can't make dicisions for themselves(micro organisms, mostly. The cells in our bodies are living, yet they fallow orders mindlessly). Meaning AI is intelligence that isn't natural. Transformers, as I belive, are natural. They are born and they die, they evolve through time, they reproduce(there ARE male & female TFs for a reason), etc.

Sorry but in Super-Link every Terrorcon has Sparks that were recycled from Alpha Q's planet.

Yeah, I figured the Ravages in Energon were just very simple-minded drones with no self-awareness or ability to make important decisions. I haven't seen Energon (for obvious reasons), but didn't the Terrorcons (Ravage, Insecticon, Doom-Lock, Divebomb) basically just do as Scorponok, their leader, directed?

Oh yea, :redface I forgot that Unicron ate Sparks, The terrorcons had sparks UNTIL Unicron ate em.

The Terrorcons had some degree of Choise, two Chromehorns(Insecticons) got ahold of Super Energon and started chasing Irontread(Demolisher) and Snowstorm(Snowcat).

Didn't Some terrorcons Flock to Rodimus Convoy on on of his earlier apearances?

Anyway...I still think the TFs are living creatures in their own right, and are far more than ordinary robots.
