i liked some of the jokes in changing of the guard, like the accordian noise when ratrap is protesting about going in the submersival thing. even better was when he was in it slagging off optimus. or when the music started playing when he was in the thing and you just see the music coming out of the speaker at silverbolt. that was one of the best episodes in the season from my point of view

I don't think BW would have been so great if it wasn't for the humor, and more so at the age of 23, adult humor.  Yessssss.

I laughed my ass off when that happened. Funniest gag in the whole series.

 

(Closely followed by Optimus Primal's cyber-venom-induced singing: "There he is, my little guy. There he is, my little guy. Isn't he cute?" And then Rattrap's classic response: "That's.... not what I wanted to hear." ROFFLE HOUSE!! They also get points for sheer WTF-ness.)

Certainly hope not to be honest. They dubbed a few Armada episodes and released those on DVD. I bought them just to "have" them but the dub is just awful.

 

I feel that in general, dubbing of episodes is bad. I remember when a cartoon called "The Terrible Thunderlizards" used to air here and they had a character called Mr-Trex who had a appereance very similar to BA Baracus (from the A-Team).

 

The funny thing was: Mr T. was the actor who did his voice.  :tflaugh He even said "I pity the fool".

 

They later dubbed that series but then jokes like those are lost. Plus jokes rarely translate well. And why bother if the original voices always sound better?

 

Of course the last 4 Transformers series have been dubbed. I do not mind those dubs that much though they are not that great. But if I were Gary Chalk and had to go from Beast Wars to Energon I would lose my passion for my job.

 

(But people in Germany or The Netherlands must really hate dubs as the same actors are used over and over. And most of the voices are just awful.)

 

As for the Transformers cartoon, they should really be making the cartoon in the US/Canada again but I am a strong supporter of that because I loved the Mainfraime cartoons.

 

But they could at least offer the original versions (with subtitles) and the US versions on DVD. Or do the Galaxy Force DVD's have English subtitles? There is plenty of room on the DVD for that.

 

Speaking of subtitles, I rather miss them on the Transformers DVD's. Not only would it help the hearing impaired but I always use them even though my English is excellent.
