Die-Cast Smokestacks for MP-01/20th Op

Recommended Posts

Well, I received my die-cast stacks in the mail yesterday, and attached them to my 20th Op last night when I got home, and they look dead-on to the MP-01 stacks, chrome & everything, but DIE-CAST.  Don't have any pix yet, maybe this weekend if I get the time.

And there's still 27 lots left:

Wow, Ken is still around?

Hope he didn't initially try selling you the rights to the first pics this time... ;)

Yeah, I received mine in the mail yesterday(04/13/2005) finally!  They are pretty awesome.  I'm going to post some pics when I get a chance as well.  The fact that they are diecast is what's really cool.

It just took Ken a loooooooong time to get those here.  I also had to remind him I had pre-ordered them.  Hey, it was worth the wait though. :thumb

His price went up.  I just checked the link and he has went up a few bucks in price from what I initially paid for them.  That's probably due to the delays he had with the CHinese production company he was dealing with.

Does anyone have both these and the ages three and up ones to compare?

Are the ages three and up ones suppossed to be die cast as well?

Mine are not die-cast but are polystyrene with the vacu-formed chroming process done to them, just like the original factory ones were done.

Oddly enough, when I opened my MP-02 I noticed the stacks had some chrome wear to them and showed some of the white plastic around the top of the stack. Mine look better than the ones I got from the factory. Go figure.

I would like to see a set of the metal ones myself. Do they not look a little different than the other chrome parts? I always thought they looked a little strange on the toy with the difference in chrome compared to the other chrome parts on the Prime figure.

Spencer.

But why die-cast stacks? It sounds pointless to me...Spence's stacks are cheaper! :tftongue

But why die-cast stacks?
