i would love to see how ur scrapper turns out! and if it might some how lead to devastator! those are some cool renders! =D

I love the teapot there ;)

*chuckles* The head looks good though, might want to add some details to look it more mechanical (like hinting at some panelling and all) :)

scrapper's head looks cool

thanks guys :) I''ll build a bit more of scrapper later this evening, I have his upper torso planned out now.

I am using a demo of 3D studio max 7 so I only have 28 days left to mess around with it some more. so I won't be doing devastator, sorry :P wish I could, but even if I had the time, my computer would never be able to handle it. its only a pentium III 800 with 384 megs of ram. The miminum requirements for 3D max 7 is 512 megs of ram :D im lucky it runs at all. hehe

I worked a bit on his torso, setting up mechanics, his neck has some good articulation, not great because the parts that stick out beside his mouth plate, get in the way from his head bending certain angles, but you can see how I've got some actuators on each side of the larger cylinder in his neck so he can tilt his head from side to side, along with front to back, and he can turn his head from side to side as well of course.

his shoulders I buil them that way so he would have better arm articulation, since he has those big wheels on his shoulders, they would have gotten in the way and hit the torso, so I just decided to raise the shoulder mechanics up like that so he'll have a much larger range of motion with his arms.

Also gave him some wasite movement. I don't like the original toy can't move his waiste at all :P its just one solid piece. So I split his abdomon off his chest, and it can tild side to side, and the waiste will be able to bend forward and back. I'm also adding in a piece to the waiste that will let it twist 360 degrees, so he'll have lots of articulation. Shouldn't take away from his overall appearence too much. I'm trying to keep him as close to the original toy as possible. but im obviously not gonna keep him a brick like the original toy ;)

I really wanted to get that tilting abdomon(spelling?) in there, not only for robot articulation, but in Alt mode as well, he'll be able to steer like he's suppose to in real life ;)

I still have lots of detail left to do in the upper torso, so no worries there. I just got the mechanics of the upper torso done tonight and thought I would post how it is coming along
