$2700 Pepsi Prime!

Recommended Posts

there is some crazy bidding going on there.

i like in the auction he writes that its

"known world-wide that Hasbro's Transformers toys will never lose it's value"

I wish somebody had told me that when I sold a whole buch of my transformers years ago.

Is this thing worth more than a MISB regular 1984 Prime? The only differences is that Pepsi logo right?

as far as I know the only difference is that Pepsi Sticker.

I think it was a mailaway type of thing.

But no freaking way is it worth that kind of money

No offense but that is a complete crock! These are toys not precious diamonds, oil or even gold. Of course they can lose value!

The seller is a moron, trying to hype up his auction to appeal to the investor type buyers. Do your research everyone, toys like any other collectible goes in cyles and it is strongly linked to demand in the collectors market. Not all TFs are popular and/or worth much money. On any given day you can see TFs unpurchased on auctions, store websites and shelfwarmers in B&M stores.

I dont see much hyping up by the seller for his auction except the description of the figure. His auction does start at $0.99 and its up at that value because there are those that value that piece that much.

I for one wouldnt buy a prime for that much, heck i wouldnt buy a toy for tat much. But I guess some people want a "rare figure".

I think those bidders are crazy for bidding that thing up and I wouldn't pay 1/10 what they are paying, but I'm pretty sure that it's the Seller's job to "hype" up their auction and get the best price for their item. Blame the idiot bidders, not the Seller.

I wonder how the value would be if it had a Coca Cola sticker instead. Would it double?

:tflaugh It just depends on the taste of the people who bid. :tflaugh1

the canada pepsi prime was much better, i think a lot of the usa versions are fake, its only a sticker that anyone could print off on there PC
