I"d like to know about the micro change

Recommended Posts

the pre tf toyline that megatron and soundwave came from. i tried googling it awhile back but never found a decent site about it.

that site isn't very helpful. hardly any pictures of the toys and i can't find the Gunrobo section.

Here's a couple pages from the Takara Land book.

There used to be pages that had scans of the comic books that came with some of these toys.  At any rate, the story goes like this...at least as best I can remember...

The microman home world gets invaded by these reptilian creatures and destroyed.  The Microman people go through the intradimentional portal to Earth to Protect us against the evil army.  (most of which we got to see as Micronauts)

Some because the micro change robots.  There were comic books that came with some of the toys, in one a couple kids spy on this mad scientists mantion, and decide to send in all the robots to attack and defeat him...holding a 44 magnum with perceptor and others flying about (in their small size).  Kinda weird.

Some came with Micronaut figures, like the black perceptor.  The UNCLE Megatron (our megatron with all the accessories) worked with a figure who could use his stock gun to sit down and shoot some targets.

The Minibots like Bumblebee were to mimic the penny racers, and most of the series were supposed to mimic things a kid would have around the room, tape recorder, boom box, microscope, binoculars, locks,  flash light (though it was not made, pretty cool prototype) and of course hand guns for Jr Dirty Harry.  Even some balls that turned into robots.

Further down the line, they did keep going with the transforming idea.  There were some really nice toys that make good "Ancient Cybertonians".  Micro Rider, a big robot that turns into a cool motorcycle is very nice, and very expensive.  I recommend if you can find a cheaper model kit (which you need to build with screws like an actual toy) get that!  There are also merge groups and weird converting robots that also kinda work as cybertonians.

Diaclone also had some interesting robots that never made it into TF's.  Twin Combat and others.

Yea I'd have to say Microforever as well. Also there was another site that had the release dates of Takara Microman and Diaclone products, including case numbers and such. I don't think I have access to that anymore.
