XGalvatronX's Collection

Hope I'm posting in the right forum. I was wondering if any of you folks knew where I could get a nice display case? I was hoping for one with maybe a mirrored back and glass shelves. I've looked online, but I haven't seen any that catch my eye too much. Any ideas?

Well, I'm converting one of my old bookshelves. All I need to do is adjust the shelf heights, and I'm going to put some plexiglass doors on it. Saves money from having to buy a company made display case. It also lets me have some leeway in some creativity.

Why not try Ikea? They have good glass display cases and I'm sure you can install a back mirror for that "looks bigger than it really is" look.

I didn't see any on the website, so I guess I'll have to go to the store. I really want the back mirror so you can see the back of the bots.

Hi XGalvatronX... thanks for posting - I have a similar issue with my collection.

I have two seperate 5 shelf display cases, around 6 feet tall that hold some of my collection. (Exclusives, Takaras, etc...) Problem is, I have a huge rubbermaid container that holds the rest of my stuff. (G1 through the current lines)

I really don't have any idea on how to display my collection without overtaking my entire spare bedroom, so if anyone comes up with anything creative, please advise! :)

Well, I recently purchased a home and have a nice big room for an office. That's where I'm planning to display my collection. Except maybe for one or two Binaltechs and my 20th Anniversary Optimus, they are all in boxes. I have all the G1 re-issues, two of some, three of others. All the released Takara re-issues, most of RID, most of Energon, MPOP, most of Universe and some Armada....

Crap...I'm going to need a really big display case....

What I was hoping to do was either have Alternating (Ha ha, get it...?) shelves. Bots, then alt modes, for each generation. I would love the mirrored back so you can see the back of the bots without having to take them out. Some of you guys on here have some incredible collections, and I would love to post mine up.

Besides, it seems unfair that to keep all of them in their plastic prison....

Lol... too funny. You must be the alternate reality version of me! :tfhuh

My collection is very similiar - I have the shelves displayed in a chronological series, from the beginning to the end. My problem is that I am a completist, so I miss out on displaying a few terrorcons here, a few mini bots there, a few micromasters / pretenders / action masters / etc... all because of the lack of shelf space. No matter how much my wife complains, it looks like there is no way that I can prevent the spare bedroom from turning into a Transformers shrine. :thumb

You sound just like me! I move in to my new home next week. I am also interested in those who may have display cases!

We've been looking for a house for a while, but prices are outrageous right now. Houses that aren't worth 130K are going for 200K+... it's insane!!! :wtf Anyway, if and when we do find a house to buy, I get my own TF room, and I am going to have one whole wall in the TF room painted by a mural company, most likely with the space battle scene from the back of the G1 boxes! :thumb My girlfriend rocks! :D
