hi again. i came up with this idea when i finally got my destructicon scourge, and i was going to pose him with the rest of my RiD. everyone else was standing in really cool poses, and scourge, because of the gaping emptiness on the bottom of his feet, had to stand there all brick-style. of course, i was like "oh HELL no!" and tried to figure out what i could do to change that.

 

at the time, i was also eyeing energon rodimus as a potential scourge kitbash, then i thought, "why not just mix-and match?"

 

Truck Mode:

originally, i was just going to strip the flames off and paint the two stripes down the side, but then i decided painting over the flames would be more of a challenge. turned out much better this way, i think.

when i first started this, i was amazed at how easy it was to just take off rodimuss' legs and put them on scourge. they line up almost perfectly, and certain parts are actually interchangeable. i had to hollow out scourges crotch area on the inside a little bit, but everything went together perfect.

i also didn't paint his windows red, it would be the only red thing on him other that his eyes, and the silver matches his bot mode accents better, anyway.

 

they also wouldn't be translucent, which would probably look bad, anyway.
