Yes, old news.  And you can't really say its news, more like rumor.  Old rumor, yet to be confirmed.

I JUST posted this in another thread a few days ago, but here's the rundown on Prowl again:

1) November 2004. Jon Hartman (who is a VERY reliable source in this regards!) reports Wal*Mart listings for a Mitsubishi and an Acura.

http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/thread61129.html

2) December 2004: A possible promo pic for an Acura RSX named "Prowl" surfaces at TFans. While the pic itself is obviously a photoshop, the question was whether it's an official mock-up or just a fan's digibash. The SKU is the same as the one from the Wal*Mart listing, after all.

3) January 2005: 2005 Boards member Prowlus brings news from ToyFair Europe. The promo pic IS an official mock-up. Hasbro Europe displayed it at ToyFair Europe.

4) Still on the same day, the first online retailers started putting up preorders for Prowl, some listing him as an "Acura Integra" (the RSX is called "Honda Integra" in Japan).

5) For those who still doubt the ToyFair Europe report, here's an independent report, which also lists Prowl:

So, I'd say Prowl as an Acura looks pretty definite.

After the hysterical laughter has ceased, no, bigbot is not a reliable source.

*cough*

You mean the same Bigbot that never credits any sources? :roll

I'd wish it was true but need real info for i believe it

Same goes for the new "swerve" alt that showed up

and the Dragstrip/overdrive that i saw on ebay

(did win the testshot though so will see when he is in)

Because P.Prime, the guy who brought us the first pics of those protos, is so notorious for making stuff up.

Sigh. Check the threads. P.Prime has shown us hundreds of new protos/test shots in the past months. None of them were ever fake.

I gues some people will still claim "KITBASH" or "PHOTOSHOP" at every test shot provided by P.Prime, charle5! or S250 twenty years down the road... geez.

You know, if we just KNEW where this guy gets his info from or whether or not he actually works for Hasbro/Takara, then we'd KNOW whether or not his info is legit. Why the secrecy? Is he SO cool that he feels he needs to hide his true identity? Gimme a break. COME OUT WITH IT DUDE!!! :roll

*stupid fanboys*

P.Prime is getting his info from a shop in Hong Kong that sells leaked prototypes. Don't think that's a "secret".
