ok a while ago i say some pics of this jazz repaint and i was torn cool repaint why is it getting reissued...? still dont know but since i have all 18 of the original cars and now looking into the variants he was obviously the easiest to find. now i gotta say i love this guy i just got him today he looks great sooo many weapons awesome color scheme and get this tight joints !....ok maybe i was the only guy to get a jazz with the weakest joints ever but ive heard this is a common problem now im just trying to figure out if i want to make a kitbash of an alt meister for him

thoughts?

Well Stepper was released in Japan back in the '80s as part of the Targetmaster line. Apparently up until they re-released him, he was one of the most sought after/most expensive TF's on the market.

As far as an Alt. Jazz re-paint, I do believe someone had done up an Alt. Stepper. Cant remember where I saw that, perhaps someone else here, might be able to shed some light on that.

Been meaning to pick him up.. My TRU finally has him out... after how long? :redface

I think he's pretty cool, though not '$1000 cool'. He's a nice toy for the regular reissue price and a great way to kill off those insane second hand prices. I like his ghetto gold. He's like a blingbling Jazz.

are there any other g1 target masters like the original cars or is he an exception to plastic

Targetmasters I don't know. I do know they had a repaint of Inferno who was now a headmaster called Artfire.

...and you fail to win the breadmaker!

Artfire is a recolored Inferno with bigger holes so his partner would fit in. (It's true.)

Are you confusing Artfire with Hosehead?

Nope, I was just slightly confused. I knew Artfire existed, but never having seen a pic of him or a good description, I somehow came to understand (for some dubious reason) he was a headmaster.

I just looked him up on internet and saw he's a targetmaster as well.

My bad.

(Since I can afford to buy my bread I don't think I'll regret not winning the breadmaker.)

You're not missing out on Artfire, he's craptacular more then anything else. I'd buy a reissue though.

Stepper = repaint/remold of Jazz with US Targetmaster Cyclonus' targetmaster partner

Both were available as part of the Japanese "Transformers: The Headmasters" toyline, though. But they weren't Headmasters themselves. Just like the Terrorcons and Technobots aren't Headmasters despite being released as part of the epynomous series.
