Evil Decepticon Jetfire

Recommended Posts

I've seen pics of it on the web a long time ago. Great stuff none the less. Although $400 bucks is too much, and $280 for work and materials are really pushing it, IMHO anyway.

Did the maker use an actual Jetfire or a brand new Valkyrie?

Very sweet custom made job.

It looks very much like a transformer you could've bought ten years ago ^.^

the only thing I dislike bout it the Jetfire idea is that it's using the Macross fighters...I'm sure there's someone out there who could make a REAL jetfire :)

I really need to get one of these...

Yeah $400 would be too much if it was poorly painted, but the paint job is exactly what is pictured, & I wouldn't spend that amount of time to make everything like the box, instructions, etc. myelf, so I know I am paying for his time, which for me was well worth it cuz I knew what I was getting, saved time of making it myself, & got the quality I wanted.

He used a bone white Valkarie, however you can submit your own actual jetfire for repainting. It didn't matter to me, I just liked what I saw & bought it.

That is awesome!

Is that real? Looks like a photoshop.

This is no photoshop, this is the real thing. I've edited some of the prior posts in this thread and reworked it w/ some higher resolution photos, and am attaching this additional one. I paid $400 for mine, complete with everything you see here, however he is not offering that right now(read on for details).

Its a really nice piece- I could see it costing that much for all the work and materials, but I wouldn't have paid $400 for it. =) Its still just a fanmade custom, and Jetfire was never Purple. But thats me. Of course, once upon a time I spent $600 for a MIB Diaclone Corvette Stingray/red Tracks (I did resell it for a profit before Roadrage was released) And I paid $300+ for a contest prize Black G1 Tracks (which I still own) and I'm sure there are plenty of people who wouldn't think that was worth it.

there's a small gallery of the Black Tracks here in case anyone hasn't seen it:

I am sure i have seen a custom Jetfire made like the cartoon version, think it was shown at some convention....dont think that i dreamed it ;)

As for cost, i dont think its too much, pretty damned cool

Reprolabels offers a complete Decepticon jetfire kit, which covers all the parts needed to give him a complete Decepticon overhall:

Personally, Id like to see a Yamoto Macross fig (regular or Masterpice Prime sized) repainted. They are super posable too!

Dam, economy got me so down, thinking of selling this bad boy, if I were to get a good offer! :guh

You know, for that much money they could have spelled "Commander" right on the box :tfevil
