Hmmmn, he needs more detailing and ditch the G1-style red, but otherwise, nice idea.

Well the whole point is to look like G1..........

I think the only thing it needs is to loose the sword and have an all purple morning star.

I agree.

But it's fun to have the sword like that :tflaugh

I know, but to honest, I am getting sick of direct colorscheme-translations (not meaning to insult anyone here). I think it's very possible to make them look like their G1 counterparts but with enough differences to be new (for instance, the gold parts on VP's legs could be red, that would still give off the G1 Megs feeling but would be new at the same time).

A sword? A morningstar? What are you guys smokin'? Megs should have a MACE, a purple one, and here's why:

1. He had a mace in one of the first eps of G1, and he never had a sword. AND it was purple. Megs and OP fought, Prime with an energon Axe(what you see with the 20th Anni Prime), and Megs had an energon Mace that was purple.

2. A mace more accurately represents Megatron's personality. There's no way it could be used as as tool for good, or even as a tool. It's meant for destruction, pain, and death, and that's what Megatron is all about.

3. A sword is a graceful weapon you need skill and strength to wield. Megatron is all about smashing his enemies NOW.

As you can see, a Mace is the perfect weapon for ol' Megs. Geez, a sword. . . :tflaugh

Oh, and a very good repaint! I just might do something along those lines myself! Excellent job!

A sword? A morningstar? What are you guys smokin'? Megs should have a MACE, a purple one, and here's why:

um...a morning star is what he used, not a mace, a morning star is the spikey ball at the end of a chain, a mace is a spikey ball at the end of a stick

:redface Oh. . . . :redface

I'm always getting my medieval weapons mixed up. I thought a Mace was a ball and chain, and a Flail was the ball and stick. I feel so foolish. . . :redface

3. A sword is a graceful weapon you need skill and strength to wield. Megatron is all about smashing his enemies NOW.

A broad sword like that is NOT a graceful weapon. It is for hacking, slashing and chopping bits off your enemy. Hence the Dinobots using them.

If it were thiner, like a rapier then I might agree.

(Rant over)

That looks great! :thumb If only more of the recent Megatrons were in those colours...

i think it looks good, i like those colors better than the megs or vp coming out anyway.

Heard the idea somewhere on this board.

anyway, here's a quick digirepaint of it.
