Q. What do we do at a meetup?

A. We discuss conventions, bring rare/exclusive/custom toys, buy/sell/trade, watch eps., take pics, geek out, etc.

Cool. Now that I know I think I will be making an appearance. Anyone else going? :tftongue

we had cake at our meet in sf haha.. i'd go to ny for that haha.. then after i'd see the big apple... eat hot dogs... walk across the brooklyn bridge.... go bar hopping meet girls gettin drunk..yeno the usuall haha

The meetup event sounds interesting. I'm local (Brooklyn, but it's not too far to mid-town). The notice is short for this Sunday, but I may try to make it. I don't actually have any TF vids or toys (unless I borrow my son's Mini-Cons). I'm pretty new to TF fandom, with the publication of my latest short story in Transformers Legends. Not sure what I can bring to the table for the meetup, but if I can make it, I'll be there. If I can't make it this time, I hope you have a great event.

BTW, how long do these meetups usually last?

Damn I miss that city. I was living out there myself for a while when I was working for one of my old companies. Anyway, hope more will come. :tftongue

Just trying to get an advanced head count, how many members from TFans.com are coming and have RSVP'd on the site at: http://transformers.meetup.com/1/events/3879949/ ?

So? How did the meetup go? I came within a hair of being able to go, but ultimately couldn't make it. I'll keep my eye out for the announcement of next month's schedule.

I did get to help my son start figuring out the Energon Optimus Prime and Overload(or is it Overhaul?) figures he received for his birthday. Have figured out most of the transforming features, but the sound effects don't seem to work, and the automatic transformation of the base unit doesn't work most of the time. A bit embarassing since he thinks I'm an expert.
