After Cybertron was blown away from Earth in The Ultimate Doom part 3, did it go flying into interstellar space, or is it now the 10th planet, just at a safer distance from Earth?

It went back to where it came from. The G1 cartoon didn't have a whole lot of continuity so to speak.

UGH, that was probably the WORST part of the first season.

 

I always assumed that it became a 10th planet, because Starscream was then able to jet back and forth between it, and visits to Cybertron seemed a LOT more frequent.

 

I always wondered why Cybertron (a planet that housed giant 40' tall robots) was only the size of our moon.

 

I was EQUALLY curious when I actually sat through an Energon episode in which a LARGER than planet UNICRON punched said planet (to crush shockblast) only to have his hand become only 3 times as big as Omega Supreme. Maybe it burned up on atmospheric entry. :tfhuh

 

I sometimes wonder who is responsible for writing these things, when even as a child I was able to see the horrible errors in them.

That's what I gathered from the rest of S1, but TF:TM made it seem further away, and no Moon came through the space bridge w/ Cybertron.

Agree.

and of course, Cybertron came back into Earth's orbit in Rebirt pt 3. And yet, we didn't hear anything about it causing any natural disasters :roll

I'm still amused by the fact that Cybertron had air. Assuming a planet the size of Pluto DID have enough gravity to maintain a breathable atmosphere, it would still be incredibly cold (especially considering that Cybertron didn't seem to even have a sun). It's no wonder Spike needed that exo-suit.
