Hi all... This is my first post here, although I've been a lurker for a while.

 

OK, my question is about the missing G1 characters in the movie and s3. OK, I know that "real world" is the s2 chars weren't invented during scripting for TF:TM and in the show, they only wanted to use the new characters to sell the toys. I know all that crap... however, storywise, where the hell is everybody?

 

OK, by my recollections (and a morning viewing of the DVD...lol) the confirmed dead from TF:TM:

 

Prowl

Ironhide

Ratchet

Wheeljack

Huffer (mentioned in Dark Awakening, so confirmed)

Brawn

Windcharger

the Insecticons

Skywarp and Thundercracker

 

 

Can be assumed to be dead, as they were seen (briefly) in the flick but never again:

 

Shockwave

Sunstreaker

Hound

Trailbreaker

 

So, that still leaves a nice selection of 'bots from s1 and s2 that are MIA in the 2005 era. Tracks, Smokescreen, Sideswipe, Cliffjumper (survived the movie, but still MIA), Reflector, Grapple, Skyfire, Bluestreak, Beachcomber, Seaspray, Inferno, Hoist, Rumble, Frenzy, Skids, and Red alert. Where the hell are these guys? Should they be assumed to be dead, were there appearances/references I forgot about, or should we think they were just off-camera? I'm curious what the concensus of fandom is.

Omega Supreme was mentioned by Rodimus Prime in Season 3 as being on another planet. However that is supposedly a mistake and he was not suppsoed to be mentioned actually, but he was.

 

Sunstreaker I believe is seen in ONE episode in Season 3, but I can't remember if it's him or a color mistake right now.

 

Reflector is seen in one scene in the movie...at the attack on Autobot City...it has been assumed he died during that major battle.

 

Um...it is assumed that Bluestreak, Skids, Tracks, Beachcomber, Seaspray, Red alert, Skyfire, Grapple, and Smokescreen all died off during the 19 years between the Second Season and the Movie.

I just recalled some information...

 

In the Movie if you look closely at the scene where Arcee is dragging Windcharger...the second it cuts to the room off in the corner there is a body of someone...which looks like the body of Smokescreen, alteast the colors do anyways. So it can be assumed that he dies there...

 

Also...in the Movie...when Megatron begins to fire on the main door, the door the Insecticons eat through, if you look right before he begins to fire his fusion cannon...someone gets shot and blown up by a Decepticon laser blast. So that was obviously someone.

 

Grapple is also seen in the Movie for one scene...so it can be assumed he also died at Autobot City.

 

Bumblebee, Blaster, Perceptor, Cliffjumper, Warpath, Aerialbots, and Protectobots are all seen atleast once during the 3rd Season that I can remember. And I'm pretty sure Jazz and Sunstreaker are in the 3rd Season atleast once too. Powerglide also makes one appearance...or at least a plane that look exactly like him does.

Hound's last appearance is in the Movie so guess you cna just add him to the list of unaccounted for. Shockwave was last seen stating the obvious...sicne he was never seen again, I always assumed Unicron stomped on him.
