Following the surprise activation of Special Edition Repugnus just yesterday, Amazon US now has the order page active for Punch/Counterpunch. This brand new mold figure is priced at the same $24.99 as Repugnus (and Blast Off from the one person who erroneously seemed to manage to order that) and is currently listed with a release date of September 15th. As of this writing, Amazon is accepting preorders for the figure, to be charged when it arrives two months from now. Ironically, in this numbered series of Special Editions, only Blast Off, number one in the line, has not so far seen a period of actual meaningful, intentional availability - though we still expect it to appear during this month. $25? Seems kind of steep. Even with the prime master, it doesn't come with prime armor... so I don't see where the price justification is coming from. I doubt this figure combines, so the cost of engineering went into the dual faction gimmick. Either way, it looks like an awesome figure and I will still be preordering it.

The price is most likely due to no other retailer wanting them. And you know they are going to sell out anyways.
