Here's my nitpicking:

Just as Energon "fatimus" prime suffered from a disproportionately large torso, short arms, chicken legs, and paddle feet, GF Prime also has proportion issues: Big head, "squashed" midsection (all chest/no waist), stubby forearms, and bell-bottom wide legs/feet.

Actually, now that I'm seeing them side-by-side, fatimus is actually looking less unappealing to me.

Just my opinion.

I have to disagree, GF Prime is a lot more pleasing to the eye than Fatimus by far, just my 2 cents. I really don't think his head is that huge either, in comparison to the rest of the 'former.

That is awesome :eek . Very impressive looking Convoy.

Oh yesss. I love it.

The big chest is a lot more dramatic to me than the pot belly of Energon Prime.

But Fatimus is... is... FAT! I love this Prime, and I can tell you all exactly why: He's the closest thing I ever expect to see to a Masterpiece God Ginrai (my all-time favorite Prime), plus he reminds me of Star Convoy, which I have always pined for but never owned, as I've yet to strike it rich.

I agree. This Convoy does owe quite a lot to God Jinrai and Star Convoy design-wise. Which is fine by me.

Looking at him side-by-side with Armada & Energon Prime is really interesting. I always thought that Armada Prime was the "Tonka" one -- not so much in look but in feel. He just seemed cheap and Playskool-ish (for some reason, the smaller Supercon Armada Prime was way cooler than the big one; go figure). Energon Prime just looks like more and more of a mistake as time goes on, like a (should-have-been) rejected design or something. He just looks ridiculous standing next to both of those guys.

The only things I really don't like about GF Convoy are the fact that he looks SO anime (as does GF Master Megatron) and his faceplate. Interesting idea but the execution isn't quite there. In regular mode he looks like he has this big chin guard; in "super" mode his faceplate sticks out really far. It just looks odd in both positions.

Also, tylerzero is right about GF Convoy's torso. They tried to hide it by giving him a big gray kilt (or "loincloth," whichever you prefer) as with Energon Rodimus, and I guess it works as long as you only look at him straight on.

Having said that, the figure is easily far better than the last two Primes. Though if they made Armada Supercon Prime in a larger size I would have to take that back.

Hail to Evolution :thumb

On seeing GF Convoy the first time, I was reminded of Victory Leo actually. Mostly on account of all the guns in powered up mode. As time went by, the Ginrai aspects really started to seep in. Which made me very mucho more pleased.

Personally, I feel he's well proportioned. I dunno if I'd call his appearance anime-esque, since I don't 'get' anime, but this new guy has an aura of roboticness to him that I really dig. The big feel, the powerful forearms, the manly chest, it has a very chauvanistic and politically incorrect feel to it that I like. Iffy on the mouth though, maybe if it were white rather than blue...

As for Energon Prime... well, my feeling on this guy is that simply, his regular mode got the shaft in anticipation for his power up modes. That and maybe an initial attempt to cash in on the Power Rangers crowd?

On the other hand, in a manner in which no pun is intended, if Energon Prime got the shaft in favor for his power up modes, I'll grudgingly have to say that GF Prime DOES seem to have got the shaft, on his *ahem* back/side.

I'm just glad to see Prime move away from Power Ranger mode (Fatimus) and maybe more a little Gundam-ish (GF Prime). Between the two I don't see any real comparison, GF Prime kicks arse hands down!

I love this prime, but have to wait until he hits the US shores. Since most stores are sold out and the ebayers are asking either a ridiculous amount or just overcharging for shipping.

Best prime in this continuity so far.

I will covet this prime until the day I own him.
