Niiiiice...

Speaking of the new Alternators, has anyone noticed that Tracks actually has a fake roof on his chest? The real windshield of the car is located on his back....kinda wierd they would do that.

Yeah. They could have done something different but it doesn't look bad by any means. RID Scourge had fake chest windows and grille and he looks great.

I like them and I'm going to get them.

Have to say, though, that when I look at Tracks...well, he looks more like Sunstreaker to me. Maybe I should just switch their heads and repaint Sideswipe/Sunstreaker to Tracks...? (Saw such a repaint once and it looked great.)

As for Dead End being a repaint...well...bit disappointed. I'd rather see two new molds, each repainted twice to create four stunticons. Add a small truck to it and they should be able to combine.

Nevertheless, like 'm and going to get them. I hope the Alternator line will continue for a long time and I'm going to get each and every one of them, and probably several extra's to repaint.

But we really should get jets! Say Decepticon, and you say jet!

Dead End looks nice. Should have been Sunstreaker but I'm still going to get him. As long as we keep buying every thing from the BT/Alternator line maybe they might start listening to us TF fans and give us figures we want. Remember "money talks".

I'm a little torn here. Deadend looks absolutely fantastic, but I've been pining away for a Sunstreaker and the moment that proto showed up, I thought my prayers had been answered. Apparently, I was in the wrong. >_< Then again, to my recollection the proto had a MOLDED Autobot symbol on his chest. So a Sunstreaker isn't such a far off fantasy and since they said they'd be recoloring every figure at least once then that actually gets my feeble hopes up A LOT.

I'm hoping they're not going to stick strictly to the stunticons for names. I know there weren't fleets of Decep cars, but there were enough that they should be able to have a little more variety.

Edit: BTW I'd have to suggest not getting any form of hopes up on a Alternators Menasor. Seriously, that's a dream that's only going to be shattered. They can't keep the prices at $20 a pop and then engineer each figure to be a gestalt member AS WELL as a super realistic vehicle and super poseable robot. It's a neat thought, but don't focus on that because you'll only be rewarded with disappointment.

Well even if we don't get a binaltech combiner I'm still making mine. Sweet dreams of a huge combiner to finally dwarf the other transformer toys.

Anyone have a good theory on why a character who's colours are taken from one Stunticon (Wildrider) has been named after another (Dead End)? Has Hasbro lost the Wildrider name? And if they have, which other Stunticons have they lost?

A better idea: redesign all the stunticons, and make them able to merge into Menasor! Imagine; a truly monster gesalt!

And more power to ya!!!! :clap :yay I support your efforts to that end %100!!!!!! :thumb

All I ask is that you be kind enough to take some nice detailed photos and do us the honor of describing the process of how you finally got to the finished product.

Er... Though I need to ask just HOW you'd go about doing this? I mean, you could go for a cartoon accurate Menasor, how he basically has cars just dangling off his arms and legs as opposed to the original figure where the cars ARE the limbs. Using a 20th Anniversary Prime sounds about right, but the cars are still too big and the extent to which you'd have to retool Prime doesn't seem worth it to spend that much money and then butcher such a work of art. Hmmm... I suppose you might want to make Motormaster a non-transforming item that basically "wears" the cars or use Energon Omega Supreme or Unicron as a base for it.

Gah! Now you're getting me seriously contemplating this! Stop it! ARGH! Get the stick!! :tard :punch :redface :monkey

Edit

Fourth Heir - My thought is that it was just a snafu on the part of the dope naming the figure. Pen was put to paper with the best of uninformed intentions and just like TFU Inferno... it was too late...

Jacknife - Um. Wait, what? :wtf :tfhuh I think them naming the Alternators after certain Stunticons is as close as it's gonna get aside from the rumored Spychanger set that has yet to be released.

In this case, forget cartoon or toy accuracy. I'd combine the best features of both, along with a feasible transform for each stunticon AND Menasor in total. Since it would be a new rendition, it wouldn't have to be held strictly to one version or the other. Just build it as it makes sense, and if anyone has any complaints, let them either make suggestions, or try to do it better themselves. That might actually get a whole buinch of people going on a worthwhile project!
