Hey who would be interested in getting the claws, fangs, knees and hook recasted to the same color as the prootype on the box. Its sort of a purple color.

I wouldn't say knees because most ppl wanting to match those parts would be tv accurate nuts like me...to which his knees are actually dark green/black in the show. Another problem is that the Energon claws on the knees are pinned on and would be to risky to pull off and place on a repro set of the knees...BUT...the rest of the pieces would sell well to tv accuracy nuts.

Also if anyone were to repro the energon in clear lime green to match Divebomb...I could probably see myself paying $80-100 just for the energon and claw pieces alone.

Which energon? You mean the blade on the claw, the guns? and the cannons ont eh tail? Waht about the hook like things on the knees.

 

Interms of durability, do you own a 1/48 Valkyrie from macross? The infamous BP8 piece (the hinge for the tail pack) has a tendency to me fragile. My friend has recasted taht piece in a more durable resin. I will see if he coudl do the same for the knees. But if you say they are black then why bother. Please list the pieces of energon so i can have him match them to divebomb energon. You mean the greenish color of divebomb's weapons? or the energon chip?

here's what I think would be great, or what I would prefer.

 

Recast Knee claws in Divebomb Green, they are two parts each and could be fastened to the knees by small screws instead of pins

recast chest cannons

Recast hand "knives"

recase tail cannons

recast visor

recast inner windshield in light blue "Super Energon" color, such as that used on the new combiner pieces, and Energon Prowl's gun.

Very doable. I will need to see if the windshield/cockpit is removable. Is it? Why blue?

 

So other than the blue cockpit the rest is in that darker green divebomb weapons right? Oh is teh Sl divebomb weaposn different than US and which one are you talking about? The reason I ask is cause the US Insecticon is different from Japan Insecticon.

Both regular white Divebombs have the same basic shade of green....

 

And the windshield just pulls out of the chest with the removal of two small screws, nothing major at all....and I say blue because it's adds some color variety that the toy is missing...

Bodycount hit all the points for the show accurate parts. I would buy them depending on how much the parts are for.

I'm all for it as well..... :) gimme gimme

 

that's for both the Energon Green pieces AND the purple pieces ;)

Oh one of the biggest problems I forsee is the visor. It is one piece yet in the screen cap you can see that the mounting points are that darker green but the actual visor is light green.
