Before I customize or bash anything I sketch or photoshop what I plan to do. When the energon combiners came out I kept hearing people say how they were going to make a G1 Bruticus, G1 Devestator and even G1 Defensor. So I decided to go with one of my favorite gestalts, Lio Kaiser. Here's the first one of the group how I envision he'll look....

 

EDIT: Used some of Remy's pics. Also I know the faction symbol looks funny I tried to alter the Autobot symbol for a new faction I'm making up. I'll post the rest of the members as I figure out transformations and head sculps.

 

Glad someone's gonna do Gaihawk. But I think the guy oughta be a bit more purple. A pinkish purple in fact. And red for the visor eyes.

 

Edit: Hmm, can't find a good pic of old Guyhawk. I guess he does look red, but it mighta been my tv's color setting, but I recall him more pinkish purple.

 

P.S. Who's gonna be the other parts? Killbison should be easy yes? I reckon' Jaguar is gonna get the axe. But who'd pull off Drillhorn? And Leozak? Bruticus or Superion body?

He was a red more like brick red type not too dark. He did look pinkish in the first episode he showed up on though. I know he has red gogles, I wanted them blue b/c he has too much red already. I was going to color a strip on his head yellow to give the appearance of a beak but decide against it for now.

 

Yeah Jaruga is getting the axe, though I'm thinking of making one none of the less but not as part of the combiner. I'll probably use a Strongarm for him. Killbison and Drillhorn are going to be made off the tanks, Hellbat off of Treadshot (black jet) and Leozak will be made of Storm Jet (Superion's main body). I corrently working on Leozak's head design.

If you don't want to use two tanks for legs you could make Deathcobra out of one of the Copters!
