It's all very simple really. Did ANYONE notice that for the most part, all the BW Transformers, minus 4 of them (give or take), took a name that based on, or somewhat connected to the beast form they took?

As for what Marcus Prime said that is true however BW Megs somehow got it back into the Transmetals 2 version of Dinobot and after the eons of fosilization the evil reprograming wore off. And thus his spark was separated among 5 fosilized dinosaur skeletons which were found very near the Ark were he was put out of his missery by the Maximals as he requested because he was in so much pain.

what was there in TM2 Dinobot, was a backup copy of his presonality, you can see him uploading in a season 2 episode, and ep or so, before his death.

 

Also, there was an scriped episode for the 3rd season, called Dark Glass, that never got made, that had Rattrap finding the backup, and tracking down TM2, and uploading it into him, to try to bring old ChopperFace back, but it seamingly failed.

Thats the real reason, scriptwise, why when Rampage was killed, the old memories "...all this seems familier somehow" was coming back to TM2, and he said the "H" word to old Red Dragon, in the final episode.

True. But I'd rather go by the most logical explanation since "Dark Glass" never got made, and that is the two Sparks "touched" in the Matrix.

 

Of course Dark Glass would have been a better explanation, I'm going by the "Matrix theory" because I don't know squat about Dark Glass, so it doesn't exist to me.

The scene when Primal forces Megatron to return the original Megatron's Spark? Yeah it's on the DVD, but not good quality.

I just think it's funny that anyone could think Dinobot and the Dinobots share anything more than a name in common. Wheeljack (and Ratchet) created the Dinobots' personalities, and their bodies were robot copies of dinosaurs, not "scanned" from actual dinosaur fossils the way Dinobot's body was. There's simply nothing to tie the Dinobots and Dinobot together. And anyway, I'm sure if his skeleton ever got scanned by the Autobots (if it had even survived at all) it would have aroused serious suspicion. He was a Transmetal 2 -- it's not like he would have had an ordinary raptor skeleton. At all.

 

Actually, I think that Silverbolt used to be G1 Silverbolt, because they had the same name. It all makes perfect sense.
