Transformazing Toys has announced this morning the trailer component from their PB-series upgrades for FOC Optimus and Ultra Magnus are being dropped. The sets will now be just the armor for the figures. This revision has allowed reduction in price from around $170 to about $80. Will this refocusing and price reduction make you more likely to pick up one of these sets, or is it still too much for too little? Read the Full News Story Here

Really? I didn't realize the box could reduce the price by more than half! I will pick one up then at that price....

The trailer would have been a substantial chunk of plastic, so it's little wonder it'd account for a major portion of the cost. Still, I kinda feel like $70-80 is a little high still for just the armor pieces.

I must have misread that....because I swear the title says it comes without the box...which I was understanding as the packaging. Now that I read it more....There is no trailer mode and it's only armor......now that I think I understand...I'm not interested in it anymore. The fact it was a trailer AND armor was appealing...but loose half of that and you lost all of me.....:tfevil

Maybe that was one of those things that worked better in my head than in practice.
