I don't know much about the japanese continuity, so forgive me if this sounds like a stupid question. But is this series different from G1 season 3?

I think it's the Japanese spin on things after our show got the can. I think it would be cool if they released it out here with atleast english subtitles though. I would so buy that just out of curiousity's sake.

Wheelie is slightly more barable(he sons't ryhme, but he is like the Cybertrons Rumble or Frenzy)

no, it's season 3. Plain and simple. Just their translation

and it takes place in 2010 not 2006, how Daniel hasn't aged 5 years is beyond me.
