Just in from Planet Iacon is this teaser image for the Generations Metroplex special edition to be sold at ACG-Con in Hong Kong from July 26-30. This edition is very similar to the SDCC exclusive version that will be sold starting next week and soon after on Hasbro Toy Shop, the only apparent difference being the Decoy-style minifigures are colored in gold for the Autobots and silver for the Decepticons rather than red and purple. I'm sure if there are Metroplex completeist......add another version of him to your list...:tfevil Well the fact they are releasing so many different versions of him makes me think they made alot of this figure and he won't be as big of a challenge to acquire as originally thought. I do like the dual guns, but not enough to pay $50 more.

Indeed, I didn't expect so many variants. These things will be piling up on Ebay. Will be interesting to see what the 3rd Parties come up with.

Metroplex to me is the only reason that Legion figures are worth picking up.

It'd be most accurate to describe the chrome thighed Metroplex as Hasbro's "convention edition" since Metroplex is going between SDCC and ACG unchanged only with the minifigures colored differently to distinguish them.

Given that SDCC Bruticus has come back in the Platinum set with a middlingly deco improved Grimlock, I'd hold straight odds at this instance of Metro being considered for a Platinum Edition next year.
