MP prime trailer scale

Recommended Posts

What scale looks best/is most functional with other tfs? some people use 1:24, are others more acurate?

Any opinions would be nice.

1:24 is the Alternators' scale, but it wouldn't be quite right for MP Prime. If you can find a 1:32, that would probably look mighty nice.

Yeah, Prime doesn't seem to be on the same scale as the Alternators. They seem a little bit too short.

1:32 is as close as you can get, I've built one in that scale. He isn't perfectly 1:32 scale, but you wont find a trailer closer to the right size.

MP prime would be off-scale (or more accurately, "mixed-scale") The wheels are 1/35 while the trailer would actually need to be closer to 1/30

as everyone has said, the closest you will find will be 1/32 scale

Actually I'd say it depends on how much authenticity you are striving for, vs how much work you want to put into it... I found a "Fast Lane Mack Trailer - Mack Vision" toy at Toys R Us for like 15 bucks, the wheels match up size wise, the cab scale is a lil off but length wise they are similar... I have started a personalized-custom vision of the trailer, which I know has it's discrepancies with actual tralier details (some major at that :tfhuh ), but for sake of arguement, it seems to be 1/24 or maybe 1/25 (if there is such a thing). I cut out some of the under carriage of the tralier, dropped the wheel base less than a 1/4 inch, and retooled the undercarriage to make room for Prime's big feet. The turning radius is good, and there is a lot of detail work to be done, this is just the preliminary stage. But it seems to fit ok, and allows for variant visions of how the trailer could look with some modifications. (Extreme mods could result in the proper details, but lacking a dremel tool or anything, this is what I am working with.)

1/32 i think is best, 1/35 is accurate though

Thats really cool, I could more than live with that. :thumb

From what I understand, Prime is 1/24 but has 1/32 wheels. That might help when choosing a trailer size
