They look cool and are a nice homage to the Twin twist and Top spin, BUT I must address the elephant in the room...really a carded figure? :wtf Sorry but even Rager didn't come like that.

Carded really pays homage. Actually, I miss the carded figures.

Looking closely at the pictures, it looks like you can pop the back off and then put it back on. There was a toy line that did this years ago and it was pretty good. I'm sure the people at Mech Idea know that us collectors keep the boxes and such for 3rd Party figures.

I don't miss the carded one that you have to peal the bubble off of...and I believe these figures came in a box, that's the only reason I mentioned it. Not trying to be mean...I just found it odd and obvious. It may be because it saves on cost since I am certain that package cost less to make than a box. :shrug

Yeah I looked at it closer after I posted it and it doesn't appear to be a...well for lack of better term "hard carded" figure. It looks like you can slide the card up and that the bubble has slots that the card slides into. That isn't bad since you can open him and put everything back without damaging the card or the bubble. It isn't as bad as I thought, though I think a box would still be better...but that is my opinion and I am not buying these guys anyways. I hope they sell well as I like that these guys got some love and attention. :D

Two toy lines I can think that have similar package:

- Macross non-transforming figure (comes with a card and a minifig)

- Micron Legend Micron 3 packs (but they are taped)
