paint advice

Recommended Posts

gotta a good question,,should i use testors and paint over the decals on the alternator smokscreen,,or use paint thinner,,then paint,,i only have testors, but i can always buy paint

i am trying to make the one in my av. :Dc :thumb

Paint thinner and then paint, definately, because if you just paint over the decals you are going to end up seeing the lines of them through any kind of paint you use. If you use paint thinner then you might not have to repaint it but watch out what paint thinner you use some of them will eat through the plastic as well as the decals. Happy kittbashing and good luck :thumb :ab

yea, def get rid of the decals first... you'll regret it otherwise.

good luck.

all righ thanks,,one more question,,what should i use to make the visor eyes and mouth plate,,i have some model glue,,i could glue it then file it down,,

o and btw can anyone give me some digi-colors of smokscreen,,just to give me some options,,beside my av. :thumb

well if you have any junk tfs find a flat peice and cut it out and file it to size before you try to glue it down it will be much easier this way. About the visor try taking a pop bottle and cutting a smal sliver out and useing that. That is about the only things I can come up with and good luck on it. :ab
