Omega Upgrade Kit

Recommended Posts

So tonight I finished up the last details on the Omega Helmet, completing what I had planned for this kit. I'm not planning on doing the track "wings" but there are plenty of pegs and ports to fashion your own from leftover kre-o parts.

With that said, here is the renders for the completed Omega Upgrade set and the first 3rd party Kreon helmet that I know of :D.

It looks good as a 3D model. Hope it turns out well for you.

thanks!

the other parts that I've designed and had printed have for the most part turned out quite well so I have my fingers crossed for this set as well :D

Is this from Shapeways or do you have your own printer? Also, does it ever come out in colors?

This will be through shapeways. You can see the other upgrades I've done already in my shop.

Regarding colors, the material is cheapest in white, but they also have a few dyed options like black, blue, red, pink and purple. Not sure why green, yellow and orange are omitted :/

The material is a type of Nylon so it takes paint really well. In fact it will even soak it up so if you plan on doing more than a single color you'll need to seal it first.

This is one Kreon set I would think about getting. too bad you didn't do the tracks....you should think about it.... ;)

I did think about it.. but I fear that all that extra material will really jack the price up. maybe I'll make it a separate set for those that want the "full effect" :)

Sounds good. I am a huge Kreon Advocate. I hope you can make the tracks for him as well. Do you know when KOS will be available? Thanks! Another avenue that no one has explored yet is the weapons for the Kreons. Simple and a nice detailed touch. :)

KOS?

regarding the tracks, my current plan is to release the bulk of the set minus the Omega themed parts, then have the Omega parts in a separate kit, and lastly have the tracks. Then I'll also have a "complete" set for those that want it all.

Doing up the signature weapons is a good idea, one that I imagine you could jump on pretty easily if you had a mind to. ;)

The Omega set is now available for the testing price in my shapeways shop. The set includes the specific parts to take the "Bruiser Kit" up to Omega Supreme. I've also made the helmet available in a separate listing for those that might be interested in just the helmet. Likewise the visor for the helmet is also available separately so that it can be ordered in a translucent material. All of which still need to be tested so until they are, I'm offering them at the discounted price listed.

I've also added a new listing that has all of the kits I've designed so far in one order so a few dollars can be saved. I'll continue updating that listing as I do more sets as well as adding bonuses that will only be available in that set.
