Takara Tomy MP-05 Megatron

Here he is! This is THE Megatron of our dreams! Right? This is without a doubt one of the most complicated transforming toys ever produced. Did it succeed?

Great review. One thing I do want to point out though. In the review you complain about the red on the inside of his calves saying that the cartoon didn't have red inner calves. However, the red is indeed accurate to the original toy, as well as his G1 comics appearances, including Marvel and Dreamwave.

I have the TF Collection book style reissue Megatron and there are pics of Megatron with purple legs and arms where the red is supposed to be. Is that something that was released in Japan? The pages of the reissue are the only place I have ever seen the purple and the text is in Japanese so its not like I can read about the release.lol I wish I could post a pic right now (maybe later) but does anyone know anything about a "purplewheretheredshouldbe" Megatron?

I guess I have to admit you are right, but I still don't like it. I really do wish it was the same color as the outer legs of the cartoon.

I am afraid that I am not familiar with this at all. Sorry I can't help you.
