Looking at my alts again and Sideswipes head really started to bug me, i dont like the mold anyway as think it looks fat but it was the head that annoyed me. It just seems `big` and very simple, all the others are far more styled and much better looking.

 

Anyone else think the same?

Not sure what you mean. Hound has a pretty plain head as well, and Smokescreen and Silverstreak have almost the same head ....

I agree with you on hound and think the designer/scupter was the same guy but I like hounds head ;)

 

Sideswipes head just seems big and basic compared to the others, seems to have been a styling exercise on which way to take the Alts which didnt pan out IMO

 

oh and he looks nothing like any Sideswipe I ever had ;)

they look pretty similar to me ... unless you mean the Armada one ... I don't count him. ;)

I think they based it more on the cartoon/comic than the toy. Much like the MP Prime (though in his case it was the whole body).

 

When in doubt, check the past. ;)

On a related note, I don't think there's anything wrong with Sideswipes head. It's probably the best part on him.

j/k I like Sidewipes head quite a bit, in fact i like it better than Hound's, Tracks', and Dead End's

Dead End looks tired, don't you agree? He's got some major bags under his eyes. I'm beginning to wonder how I'm going to fix that for Sunstreaker. . .

He's well sculpted. He is more based on G1 indeed, not a bad thing considering all things transformers should be based on g1

hmm never noticed sideswipe looked like that in the cartoon, actually looks like a straight crib, prefer g1 toy and dreamwaves redition though ;)
