Their might be a few sellers on ebay.com,ioffer.com & amazon.com. that can get you this box in perfect condition for extremly cheap prices. some of these sellers sell those custom repro G-1 TF toy boxes. some even sell the inner foam or plastic tray with the card board backer.

I know I can get one of those, but I am looking for the real deal, an official 1987 US box not the Chinese release box or a reproduction. It does not have to be perfect, it just has to be in good condition.

I haven't seen that many sell on ebay,amazon.com nor ioffer. most who have these boxes keep them because they either have the toy inside or buy the toy later on & stuff it inside the box. sometimes the box is more rare,desired & harder to find than the toy.

 

best advice,keep checking ebay,amazon & ioffer. perhaps go to a few fan conventions,buy the box from dealers. or get the box from those swap meats that fan conventions often have. if you have something decent to trade or have cash,the box will be yours.

currently botcon's 2012 convention has a huge swap meat that fans trade stuff in a huge room.

 

FWIW,I haven't seen any repro G-1 1987 boxes. most of these repro G-1 box sellers create the 1984 thru 1986 repro G-1 toy boxes & inserts.
