TFC to recolor Star Cats combiner as Defensor.

Recommended Posts

Full Metal Hero just posted some pictures of the third party Star Cats set from TFC.

The confirm that there will be a set in Star Cats colors (red and white) and a limited editon "Defensor" recolor set! So it seems there will be a third party Defensor! Lovely!

So I guess the snowcat like vehicle as the torso is Hot Spot, the helicopter is Blades, the ambulance is First Aid, the hover bike is Groove and the SUV will have the be Streetwise, probably get a police car deco.

Another post at AC Toys says the Defensor deco is limited to 1000 pieces and may include a Defensor inspired combiner mode head.

So it seems that this guy is as big as TFC Hercules. Here is a picture of not-First Aid compared with Hercules Structor. 4 Voyager sized limbs and an Ultra sized Hot Spot!

Hmm, it's still too different for me to buy it as a Transformer. Like I said in the other thread, the Star Cats look more like Brave Series toys, rather than Transformers. That okay, of course. Although, that truck that's supposed to be Hot Spot kind of looks like the European Thunderclash toy.

The pain will worsen when you learn they started to did early concept art for a G1-inspired Terrorcons set!

yea, i don't know about this. the combined mode just looked clunky to me and didn't scream out Defensor.

Just a couple sketches by the same guys who did Star Cats, the Dinobots combiner and Hercules.

It's clearly somewhat Terrorcons inspired. Hun-Gurr has wings added, Blot has a pig head, Sinner Twin had three deads, but it's all there.

A concept art of the full not-Defensor has been released:

Of course that render is just the original mold... here are renders for the new Protectobot heads, chest pieces and guns:

So imagine those together.

That's kinda neat looking, but damn is it chunky!
