This Chart has most of the combinations, but it is missing Wheeljack, Overdrive, and the repaints.

Would the package tell which Transformer can combine with who?

If the pentagonal crest on the package is the same color as the pentagonal crest on annother package, then they are designed to combine with each other.

 

Each Autobot will have the same crest somewhere about them, usually on their arm.

 

 

None of the Ultras (red crest) are designed to Powerlinx with anything but the additional parts included in the same box.

 

Several items from different price points are designed to merge as well;

 

Eg Prime ('Super') can merge with Wing Sabre (Ultra) and Prime can merge with Omega Supreme/Omega Sentinal (Supreme?)

 

Different 'bots of different sizes can be Powerlinxed, resuts vary from odd to rediculous........

Also note that the gestalts cannot powerlink and that the powerlinked Grimlock and Swoop can only powerlink with eachother (they are not as much a powerlink as a failed gestalt).
