That is excellent. I had the same idea (to make him smaller and have the fake "roof" as a chest piece), but I am slow as hell in finishing my projects, but I was using an Energon Hotshot as the base. Yours looks way nicer than mine, and mine's not even cone yet.

I am absolutely LUVING your BUMBLEBEE!! I'm not a fan of the fake hood/chest but your's works really well and I absolutely agree with SCOTTYBEE about swooping the rear to the back makes his BUMBLEBEE have such a unique look. As soon as I saw this I was like "DAMN THATS COOL". Would you think of installing double barrel weapons into the trunk/swooping bee's wings? I think that there's a way of installing them into the trunk and make it to be totally retractable in order to keep the fluidity of the design. Would it get in the way of the arms at all?

Did I mention I LUV your BUMBLEBEE?!?!?!!! :thumb :thumb :thumb

As much as I dig to kitbash, I just don't think it fits in with the rest of the Alternator line very well. Size wise, it's perfect. The asthetic, perfect as well. But the fake roof on the chest kind of loses it for me. While I can tolerate the fake one on Tracks, the one on Bumblebee is too big and becomes the focus of the bot as a result. I think it's just me though, not that I can do better. I think I'm rambling, so I guess I'll stop ;) :)

The whole point of the fake chest with Bumblebee and Tracks is to pay homage to the G1 toy transformation and cartoon. That doesn't mean a fake roof-chest is completely necessary, though. Maybe a radical departure from G1 would work for a kitbash? What if Bumblebee's bot mode were more insect-like? Just not in the same way that Alternators Battle Ravage is beast-like. Maybe (just maybe) li'l wings, or like 4 arms, or some silly thing. OK, officially done with my rambling.

Good rambelings though guys. I often thought that BUMBLEBEE should have a bit more borrowed from TRANSMETAL WASPENATOR especially facially. Maybe even making him have actual "BUG" (as in insect) eyes. :tftongue

So scotty how`s the patient coming along?

THAT IS FFRIGGIN GREAT!!!!! I love the way you added the seats, something that i didnt attept on the BB i made....i know how hard it musta been!!!!

I love the false chest as well...i cannot wait till you are finished!!!!!!!

I've thought about giving Bumblebee's bot mode more insect-ish qualities.... maybe li'l wings or more arms all bug-like.
