Laserbeak Pictures

Recommended Posts

So, a quick run down of what I am after........

I am getting a new tattoo, I've decided on laserbeak (i'll get to why in a moment). I would like to get him done in a transforming sequence. I've spent hours on google looking for a set of pictures of him transforming with no luck. I'd like to find 4-6 stages of him, possibly with soundwave in the picture ejecting him....

I am guessing maybe there is a comic sequence some where or stills from the cartoon some where......figured I would ask here, as the resources here are crazy!

Now, the why Laserbeak....

In summer of 1984, I was on the Family vacation with my parents in southern california. Before heading to Knotts Berry Farm that morning, my mom needed to stop and get some money out from the bank. The local location was having some type of customer party thing and the parking lot was full. It was a large retail center, so my mom go this bright idea to park on the backside of kmart by their service bays (when they still did auto work). The kmart was kinda on a slope and it slanted down to where the bank was. Mom parked at the bottom and we would just have to go through the little row of plants to the bank parking lot....

I asked my mother if I could go with her, she said sure......I went to open the door, but at the last second I stopped and reached back to grab my laserbeak (my one and only transformer at the time) from the other side of the back seat of our station wagon.....firmly in my grasp in a few seconds, I reached back to open the door. With my hand on the handle......BOOM........I fly across the back seat, hitting my head on the other doors window and breaking it. Some idiot had parked his Mazda Pickup at the top of the hill to go into Kmart service. He decided that leaving the truck in gear without setting the ebrake on a hill was a good idea......the truck popped out of gear and rolled down the hill and smashed into our car. My dad suffered the worse injury, as he was asleep with his head against the pillar that the truck smashed into.....I had a bump on my head and a very sore arm.....

So, needless to say......if it wasn't for my Laserbeak, I would not be here today. The truck would of smashed my little 8 year old body to bits.....I owe my life to a transformer. Thus why I think its a fitting tattoo to honor my love for transformers.

And the funny thing, I still to this day have that very same Laserbeak.....

I got Ravage tatooed on my wrist but not for any life-saving reasons.

Consider this a bump for the thread. Im sure someone here can help you. If not I would suggest buying the G1 Omnibus and looking for a panel in there to replicate. Or probably easier: have your tattoo artists draw it out to your specifications.

best you get yourself a Laserbeak then. I suggest on your calf.

About the size of the actual figure itself . NO BIGGER!!

Get it where your calf muscle ends and the ankle begins.

Then if it turns out well.......being that you do you research on who in your local area is a good tattoist with the ability to do single needle fine work. Then follow up with a Buzzsaw and a RatBat.

Just keep em small and indesceminate and do loads of colour.

Im getting Laserbeak on my wrist along with Ravage, when funds permit. My plan is to also get Frenzy and Rumble on there too. Ratbat, Overkill and Slugfest too if I have enough room and in that order.

The box art pic is nice, but I am wanting to get 4-6 of him during his transformation from cassette to bird......the box art makes a nice final pic. At this point, it looks like getting movie stills is the best option. Hunting through all the comics for an IF is daunting. I have the series box set of the cartoon, so that will be back up if the movie fails...

Thanks for all the help...

Glad some of you liked my story.

Seibertron.com has pictures of a lot of the shows.

Eddie, do you go to any comic-cons? Go check one out and commision a small piece to be drawn up. The artists usually do them up pretty quickly and have it done by the end of the day if you get there early. I have a few buddies that did this. One of my friends had a piece commissioned for him and his wife, Thor and Storm to represent the two of them. It didn't cost too much but it turned out real nice.

If you can't make it to a comic convention then check to see if any of the Transformer artists have a web site and shoot them an email. They may already have a piece done that you can use.

IDW Spotlight Soundwave has a good Lazerbeak transformation sequence

Deviantart has a lot of artists that take commission. I would recommend one that actually knows about Transformers though.

try http://Transformergirl.deviantart.com/ I've commissioned from her before and she does great stuff and can accompany various styles. She could even make you a Laserbeak cake.
