Messing around with my Energon set, I started to wonder how FP could go about creating Dev. Like the Bruticus set, this would require 2 new bots and attachments.

 

Pegs and holes that can be used to connect new bot. New bot will have new Combiner head.

You Know, thats not a bad idea, my only recommendation would be to keep the arms folded in like how constructicon maximus should be, then hae a sort of G1 Devastator head plot right over the constructicon maximus head, rather then insted of over complicating things with all those pegs, though I like your Mixmaster Idea, and that can be left as is. :thumb

Well from the Battle Gaia TFX upgrade sets, I can tell FP is going to make 3 constructicon bots. So more than likely they will be based on the classics set, one will plug into the torso similarly to how you have shown, and the other twi will probably replace the black crane and bulldozer.

 

My only concern is with HOW they will make the set, because while the crane figure works pretty well as a arm or leg. I just cannot get the original bulldozer to work effectively as either a arm or a leg without some sort of major problem. I suppose its possible they will make snap on forearms similarly to the original, which would work pretty nicely.

I skipped the first crossfire set due to the fact i sold my energon Bruticus Maximus, but i still have my classics Devastator and awaiting news on a FP upgrade (that looks good of course) for THAT set. Unless i get Protector, that would be my first FP set i would buy. I SO want a proper Devs for my collection. Good thinking Optics ;) Now for FP to actual do it! Theres no proof that FA-03-05 is constructicons .... yet. But i can hope like the rest of us.

I still want to believe that CA-01-05 are a separate team. FP 's "OWN" combiner. Like I said in that thread, the Energon teams were also labeled A1-5, C1-5, D1-5.

Well the thing about the C.Max's head is that it is big enough, so putting another head over will make the head look even bigger from what I can tell. G1 Devs has a cockpit(?) on his right shoulder, so having the original head piece there would give it that G1 look.

What about having the head on the side, so that he has kind of a red shoulder, and fansproject could design a simular shoulder on the right, and a Devastator head in the middle, that way, he'll have a some nice red shoulers.
