Transformers United Straxus and Packaging Design Reavealed

Recommended Posts

Someone needs their morning coffee.....Grumpy.... :P

I guess if my card backs looked like this I'd toss them in the garbage too. If they were nicer people would probably hang on to them more often. Do your part to reduce paper waste. :D

You're comparing the United packaging to products Takara doesn't even own.

That's a stupid comment. :P

Pretty sure that Takara Owns the MP line that I'm saying has pretty good box art.

And actually, I'm comparing US to JPN packaging, how they differ, and used examples of US to JPN video game packaging.

In a round about way I'm saying the packaging is lame compared to those yellow and red cards that the US releases are on.

Anyways how can the US packaging be better and cost less than the US when the US dollar is weak to the JPN Yen.

If Hasbro can do it I'm sure Takomy can do it too. :shrug I keep the cards and don't toss them.

What I do like is that they use "recycled paper" ties now to hold the figures in place in the US packaging instead of the rubber coated twist-ties.

I only toss the inside of the box into the recycle bin. I keep everything else. I love those clear rubber bands.

So far everything about the United Straxus looks awesome. Maybe I should have waited until Takara released the pics of their versions

But that's packaging for video games - products which can only be physically handled if they're in some type of data storage media. I doubt box art is that big of a promotional point to sell video games, when those companies invest so much more into game trailers, demos, review sites and E3.
